بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Every child is born in a state of fiṭra, his or her parents make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian...

Our Mission

KL Kuttāb is an independent, nonprofit weekend program that offers children (ages 6.5-13) a holistic religious education. The program emphasizes the teaching of obligatory knowledge (farḍ ʿayn), including the essentials of belief (ʿaqīda), the Quran, basic jurisprudence (fiqh) and the fundamentals of the Arabic language. It is designed to instill a love for our beloved Prophet ﷺ and to foster a community of exemplary parents, teachers, and mentors.

Quranic Studies

This class period focuses on memorizing the thirtieth chapter of the Quran (juzʾ ʿamma) and reading (nazara/qira'a in Ḥafṣ). Younger children work through the 'Iqra series.

We strive to expose children to texts grounded in the best of the Classical Sunnī Muslim tradition.

Islamic Studies

This class period teaches children the fundamentals of Ashari theology ('aqīda), traditional Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), while also encompassing Prophetic stories and ḥadīth, adab and akhlāq.

Arabic Classes

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Arabic program in 2024! We offer two beginner Arabic classes tailored for different age groups. Classes are crafted to introduce students to the fundamental elements of the Arabic language, providing them with a well-rounded experience in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Arabic.

Co-Curricular Activities

We strive to shape not just children's minds but also train their bodies and inspire their souls. To learn more about our co-curricular programs, click here.
